1) Heavy water is D₂O. It is formed when two atoms of deuterium, ie an isotope of water containing 1 proton and 1 neutron combines with one atom of oxygen.

  • It is used in nuclear reactions
  • It is used in organic chemical reactions to label certain compounds.

2) Water is called a universal solvent as it can dissolve a large amount of substances. Since, water by nature is a polar compound, it can dissolve many polar compounds

3)Tritium is used in nuclear reactions as a moderator which slows down fast oncoming particles. Also used in organic chemistry to label compounds.

heavy water : Deuterium is used in heavy water moderated fission reactors, usually as liquid D2O, to slow neutrons without the high neutron absorption of ordinary hydrogen. This is a common commercial use for larger amounts of deuterium.

universal solvent: water

important of tritium :Tritium is used as a radioactive tracer, in radioluminescent light sources for watches and instruments, and, along with deuterium, as a fuel for nuclear fusion reactions with applications in energy generation and weapons.

Isotope mass: 3.0160492 u

Name, symbol: tritium,3H

Decay products: 3He

i can't see what is 11th question I hope it will be use ful to you pls mark as brainly answer if it is correct
