1. let the no. which has to added be x
then according to ques..
1/3 + 1/4 + 1/6 + x = 1
4+3+2-12/12 = x
-3/12 = x
x = -1/4

2.let the no. subtracted be x

then according to question...

3/5 - x = 5/3

x = 3/5 - 5/3

x = -16/15

hence -16/15 has to be subtracted from 3/5 to get 5/3..
