Answer:

(a) 3x+6=78

(b) Kartik

(c) 4

STEP-BY-STEP-EXPLANATION :-

(a) It is given that the three scores are consecutive even numbers

Now let the first number be x .

Then second no. = x+2

Third No. =x+2+2= x+4

Now it is given that their sum is 78 .

So , x+x+2+x+4 =78

3x+6=78

(b) Kartik got the highest score . As his score is x+4 , which is the largest no. among the three.

(c) Kartk's score = x+4

Raj's score =x

Now (x+4) -x = 4

Answer =4
