Question :

Ramesh borrowed ₹3,00,000 at 12% from a money lender. At the end of 3 years he paid the amount by pe paying ₹2,60,000 and a gold necklace. Find the cost of the necklace.

Given :

Principle = ₹ 3,00,000

Time = 3 years

Rate of Interest = 12 %

To Find :

Cost of the necklace

Solution :

Here P = ₹ 3,00,000, R = 12% p.a., T = 3 years

Now :

\begin{lgathered}\bold{Simple \: interest} = \dfrac{ \text{Principal }\times \text{ Rate} \times \text{Time}}{100}\end{lgathered}

\begin{lgathered}\bold{Simple \: interest} = \dfrac{ \text{300000 }\times \text{ 12} \times \text{3}}{100}\end{lgathered}

\begin{lgathered}\bold{Simple \: interest} = \end{lgathered} ₹ 1,08,000

So,

Amount to be returned by sudhir :

⇒ principal + Interest

⇒ ₹3,00,000 + ₹2,60,000

⇒ ₹2,60,000

Cost of the necklace = ₹ 4,08,000 - ₹ 2,60,000 = \bold{Rs .\: 1,48,000}

ℓєαяη мσяє :

⇒ S.I = \dfrac{P \times R \times T}{100}

⇒ P = \dfrac{100 \times S.I}{R\times T}

⇒ R = \dfrac{100 \times S.I}{P \times R}

⇒ T = \dfrac{100 \times S.I}{p \times R}
