Baking soda is an antacid because it neutralizes the effect of hcl in stomach...
Nahco3+ Hcl—- Nacl +H20+co2
co2 comes out through the body through burp..

Soda fire extinguisher: when this is inverted the Acid falls into the soln contained in the cylinder..Immediately a brisk reaction starts giving out ,Co2 along with a stream of liquid pressure through the nozzle. On directing the nozzle towards the fire, Co2 surrounds the fire and cuts the o2 supply n fire is extinguished..

NaHco3+H2so4———-na2so4+h20+co2

Baking powder..
When baking soda is mixed with edible acids like lactic acid.. it gives out water co2 and baking powder

Nahco3+ H+(from any acid)————sodium Salt of acid +h2o +co2

baking powder is added to cakes and bread coz baking soda is bitter..
H20 keeps the cake moist and co2is responsible for the fluffyness and spongyness of the cake..

hope this helpss
