( \sqrt{3}  - 1) \div ( \sqrt{3}  + 1) \\  = ( { \sqrt{3}  - 1})^{2}  \div (3 - 1) \\  = (3 + 1 - 2 \sqrt{3} ) \div 2 \\  = (4  - 2 \sqrt{3} ) \div 2  \\  = 2 -  \sqrt{3}  \\ therefore \: a = 2  \:  \:  \: and \:  \: b = 1

√3-1/√3+1 * √3-1/√3-1
= (√3-1)² * 3-1
= 3+1-2(√3)(1) / 2
= 4-2√3 /2
= 2-1√3
a=2 , b=1
