Answer:

7.69 percent

Step-by-step explanation:

cp of fridge = 23440

extra amount = 1000

so , new cp = 24440

sp = 22560

loss = cp - sp

loss percent = loss/ cp * 100

= 1880/24440*100

Answer:

Required loss percentage is 7.69%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,a refrigerator was bought for rs. 23,440.

Therefore cost price of the refrigerator is 23440 rupees.

and it is also given that he spent 1000 rupees for installation.

So,total cost price

 = (23440 + 1000) \\  = 24440 \: rupees

Again given it was sold for rs.22,560.

So, selling price of the refrigerator = 22560 \: rupees

We know,cost price means 100%.

So, 24440 rupees means 100%

By Unitary method, 1 rupees means \frac{100}{24440} \%

So,22560 means

 \frac{100}{24440}  \times 22560 \\  = 92.31\%

So, required loss percentage

 = (100 - 92.31)\% \\  = 7.69\%

This is a problem of percentage.
