Therefore, area of circle

 = \pi \:  {r}^{2}  = \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  =  \frac{11 \times 7}{2}  =  \frac{77}{2}

77/2 = 38.5 cm^2

Therefore, it will cover an area of 38.5 cm
