 { ({16}^{ \frac{1}{2} }) }^{ \frac{1}{2} }

4 × 4 = 16

We can write 16 as 4²


 { ({4}^{2 \times  \frac{1}{2} }  )}^{ \frac{1}{2} }



 {(4)}^{ \frac{1}{2} }


2 × 2 = 4

We can also write 4 as 2²


 {( {2}^{2}) }^{ \frac{1}{2} }


 {2}^{2 \times  \frac{1}{2} }



 =  > 2
