Area of an equilateral triangle is basically 1/2*base*height or √3/4*(side)²

and that of a square is (side) ²

hence The relation b/w the two can be described as

√3/4*(side)² = (side)²

√3/4 area of triangle = area of square

Secondly

diagonal of square = side√2

hence relation b/w area of equilateral triangle =area of square

=side²=side½
