25^(x-1) = 5^(2x-2)

5^(2x-2) = 5^(2x-1) - 100

100 = 5 ^(2x-1) - 5^(2x-2)

100 = 5^(2x-1) - [5^(2x-1)/5)]

Let 5^(2x-1) = a

100 = a - a/5

4a/5 = 100

a = 125 = 5³

So, 5^(2x-1) = 5³

Since bases are equal, exponents must be equal

So, 2x - 1 = 3

2x = 4

x = 2

Anonymous: a^(m) / a^(n) = a ^(m-n)
