Transitive Verb - A verb which has its object.

Intransitive Verb - No object.

Best way to identify - ask question with what

Example- Ram eats a mango.
Ram eats what? -- a mango.
So it is transitive.

Ram eats.
Ram eats what? --- no answer
so intransitive.
