During freedom movements the leaders were categorised into two categories:

i. Radical

ii. Moderate

I. RADICALE:

Radical leaders were those leaders who believed in violence. They believed that the anti violence or peace will not help indians to get complete swaraj. They wanted to have a agitations against colonial rule by violence rather than peace. They believed the weapons and skillful use of weapons can help then to establish the control over colonial rule.

For instance,

Bhagat Singh, etc.

II. MODERATES:

Moderates were those leaders who dont believe in violence. They believed in peace and anti violence measures to held agitations against colonial rule. They show their dissatisfaction and agitations towards colonial decisions and rule by starting marches and rallies.

They urgely wanted to establish Swaraj but by anti violent methods and by cooperation.

For instance,

Mahatma Gandhi, etc.
