Answer :-

i) It is clear from the figure that figure A has lesser scales then figure B.

So, if we want smaller measurements, we can't use the scale A as it will show many errors while we can use scale B to measure smaller measurements.

Hence, Scale B can measure Length more accurately.

ii) Light year is a unit of distance.

Light year is the distance travelled by light rays in the time period of a one whole year.

Additional information -

Physical quantities - The quantites which can be measured by an instrument are called physical quantities.

Types :-

Fundamental quantities :- Quantites which does not depend on any other quantity and requires only magnitude are called Fundamental quantites .

Derived quantities - Quantities which depend on other quantity and require both magnitude and direction are called derived quantities.
