in the triangle we see

ap= ar -----(1)

pb= bq-------(2)

cq= cr--------(3) tangents from an external point to a circle are equal.

adding the three equations we get,

ap+ pb+ cq= ar+ bq+ cr

(ap+pb)= ab, (ar+cr= ac)

ab+ cq= ac+ bq

hence proved.

to prove: area of triangle abq= 1/2 (perimeter of triangle abc)× r

1/2 × base× height

area of triangle abc= area of triangle( aob+ boc+ aoc)

= (1/2×ab× op)+ ( 1/2 × ac×or)+ (1/2× bc× oq)

1/2[ ab×r + ac× r + bc× r)

1/2 ×r [ ab+ bc+ ac]

therefore area of triangle abc= 1/2× r ( perimeter of triangle abc)

hope it helps you.

Aman7122: why find ar of abc
palakhanduja: because in the answer we want radius and radius can be used on when finding the area of the triangle abc
palakhanduja: only when finding
