Hi there,
Ans1:-The leucoplasts are colourless plastids present in the plant cell. The leucoplasts store starch and other storage products.
Ans2:- SER in in liver cells of vertebrates helps in detoxification.
Ans3:- RER appears rough because it had lysosomes attached in its surface.
Ans4:-viruses are not supposed to be living just because virus become active when it makes its entry inside the human body . inside the human body , it starts multiplicating on its own with time and therefore cause infection .
Ans5:-The nucleoid is an irregularly shaped region within the cell of a prokaryote that contains all or most of the genetic material, called genophore.
Ans6:-Raisins are dried grapes. When they are placed in water, the water from the surrounding diffuses into the raisinsand so the raisins swell up. The phenomenon involved is called osmosis.
Ans7:-They are generally found in mature tissues.
Ans8:-genes are mostly found in the nucleus of the cell.
Ans9:-a) HYPOTONIC SOLUTION- The cell will swell up because the concentration of water in the solution is more. Hence Endosmosis will take place.
b)HYPERTONIC SOLUTION- The cell will shrink up because the concentration of water in the solution is less.Hence Exosmosis will take place.
c)ISOTONIC SOLUTION- The cell will remain of same size because the medium has exactly same concentration of water and solute.
Ans10:-Osmosis is the diffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane that does not allow dissolved solids (solutes) to pass. ... Osmosis is of prime importance in living organisms, where it influences the distribution of nutrients and the release of metabolic waste products such as urea.
Ans12:-Robert Brown while observing a thin slice of cork under his microscope.
Ans15:-Genes
