Answer:

n=7

Step-by-step explanation:

L.H.S

sum of G.P formula is A1([(r^m)-1]/[r-1])

here A1=1 m=total number of terms =n+1 r=a

sum of terms in L.H.S = 1[(a^n+1)-1]/[a-1]

now equate lhs and rhs and cross multiply

a^(n+1)-1=(a-1)(a+1)(a^2+1)(a^4+1)                   we know (a-b)(a+b)=a^2-b^2

Apply it here

a^(n+1)-1 = (a^2-1)(a^2+1)(a^4+1)

a^(n+1)-1=(a^4-1)(a^4+1)

a^(n+1)-1=a^8-1

Add 1 on both sides

a^(n+1) = a^8

bases are equal equate powers

n+1=8

n=7

HOPE IT IS HELPFUL
