You just cant say that the sum of balances must also be equal to the total money you had.
Suppose you have 100 ruppes,
Spent:
1
Left:
99
Spent:
1

98
Spent:

97
Spent:97
Left:0
So, On adding Spent, We will get 100 but there is no guarantee that the money left would also give the same number.
Like here, Money left = 99 + 98 + 97 = ₹294.
