Hey MATE!

To covert the base as a difference of 1 it can be done.

It is a property which you can see in above image.

Answer:

This is happening because of the formula of permutations and combinations that is,

\\ n_{C_{r} } =  n_{C_{n-r} }

Step-by-step explanation:

Now, by definition of combinations, we have,

  \\ n_{C_{r} } = \frac{n!}{r!. (n-r)!} .....(i)

Now, let us substitute (n-r) for r, then, we get,

n_{C_{n-r} }

= \frac{n!}{(n-r)!.(n-(n-r))!}

= \frac{n!}{(n-r)!.r!}

= \frac{n!}{r!.(n-r)!}  ...............(ii)

Since (i) and (ii) have the same simplified expressions,

\\ n_{C_{r} } =  n_{C_{n-r} }

Hence, proved.

We have,    8_{C_{5} } = 8_{C_{(8-5)} } = 8_{C_{3} }

Similarly,

10_{C_{6} } = 10_{C_{(10-6)} } = 10_{C_{4} }
