This is talking about Law of conservation of momentum.

(m2 v2 + m1 v1 )= (m1 u1+m2 u2)

When 2 objects hit each other then their total momentum remains same

In this case when any 2 marbles hit each other then

  1. mass of both marbles  will remain same
  2. Velocity of both marbles will change.

  • If both marbles are moving in same direction then marble which is ahead will get more velocity
  • If both marbles are moving in opposite direction then marble with lighter mass will get more velocity
