Explanation:

1.True

Elements-Cannot be broken down to simpler substances

Example-Hydrogen,Copper

Compounds-Have fixed composition. Can be broken down into elements by chemical or electrochemical reactions

2.a)Tyndall effect can be observed when sunlight passes through the canopy of a dense forest

b)Tyndall effect can also be observed when a fine beam of light enters a room through a small hole

3.Solution-A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances

Colloidal solution-Colloid solution is a homogenous mixture in which the particle size is too small to be seen with the naked eye

4.a)Suspension is a heterogeneous mixture.

b)The particles of a suspension can be seen by the naked eye.

c)The particles of a suspension scatter a beam of light passing through passing through it amd makes it path visible.

d)The solute particles settle down when a suspension is left undisturbed, that is, a suspension is unstable

5.Chromatography is the technique used for the separation of those solutes which dissolve in the same solvent

6.Bcause-

a)Some solids decompose or some like sugar may get charred on heating to dryness

b)Some impurities may remain undissolved in the solution even after filtration. On evaporation these contaminate the solid

Answer:

Here is your answer...

Explanation:

1. Elements are pure substances which are composed of only one type of atom.

Compound are substances which are formed by two or more different types of elements.

2. EXAMPLES:-

  (i) When sunlight passes through the canopy of a dense forest.

(ii) When a fine beam of light enters a dark room through a small hole.

3. (i) A solution is always transparent, light passes through with no scattering from solute particles which are molecule in size.

(ii)  A colloid is intermediate between a solution and a suspension.

Colloids can be distinguished from solutions using the Tyndall effect.

4. Four properties of a suspension :-

(i)  heterogeneous mixture

(ii) the particles can be seen by the naked eye.

(iii) the particles scatter a beam of light passing through it and make its                                    path visible.

(iv) a suspension is unstable.

5. PRINCIPLE:-

Molecules in mixture applied onto the surface or into the solid, and fluid stationary phase is separating from each other while moving with the aid of a mobile phase.

6. Purification by crystallization is a better technique as compared to evaporation by dryness. Some solids like sugar decompose or get charred in evaporation to dryness. Also impurities are not removed in this method. However, all these drawbacks are overcome in crystallization.
