the answer is 12 mins because 5-2=3 it says alternate mins which means he climbs 3 m in 1 mins so how much time will it take to climb a 35 m high pole. U get 12 by mutipling 3 times 12 = 36 heres wht 12 is not the answer which means it will be now we have to find the seconds of how much time in [sec] it takes him to climb 1 m which will be 20 we get 20 by knowing there are 60 secs in 1 min so 60 divided by 2 he climbs 3 m in 1 min. we will subtract 12 mins - 20 secs we get 11 mins 40 secs.how do we get that because 3 times 12 =36 the monkey has to climb 35 so he cant climb 1 m more can he ? so 12 was the right answer. none of these matches or off course if 11min and 36 was the answer. but not quite sure about this though hope this helps u and wish this answer is right 11mins and 40 secs........
