STEP BY STEP

LET THE FIXED CHARGE BE = RS X.

THE CHARGE PER DAY = RS Y.

SO,

X + 20Y = 2600. - (1)

X + 26Y = 3020. - (2)

BY USING ELIMINATION.

6Y = 420.

Y = RS 70.

PUTTING THIS IN EQUATION (1).

X + 20Y = 2600.

X + 20(70) = 2600

X + 1400 = 2600.

X = 2600-1400

X = RS 800.

SO THE FIXED CHARGES = RS 800.

AND THE CHARGE FOR FOOD PER DAY = RS 70.
