let's analyse bucket and rope separately.

For bucket , to take it to a height h work done against gravity is Mgh.......(1)

For rope of mass m, the centre of mass of rope is at middle of the rope that is at h/2
Thus for pulling the rope the work done against gravity is mgh/2...........(2)
(THIS IS THE TRICKY POINT U NEED TO UNDERSTAND)

From (1) & (2)
net work done by person is
Mgh + mgh/2

(M+m/2)gh.............. ANSWER IS OPTION 1
