Let the fraction be $\frac{x}{2x+1}$
A/Q $\frac{x+5}{2x+1+5}$ = $\frac{3}{5}$
$\frac{x+5}{2x+6}$ = $\frac{3}{5}$
5(x+5) = 3(2x+6)
5x+25 = 6x+18
x = 7
∴ The fraction = $\frac{7}{2(7)+1}$ = $\frac{7}{15}$

denominator is 2x+1
so fraction is. x/ 2x+1

given:
if numerator is x+5
and if denominator is 2x+1+5
is 2x+6
fraction is x+5/2x+6
which is equal to 3/5

I.e.
5*(x+5)=3*(2x+6)
5x+25=6x+18
7=x
so 2x+ 1=15
so original fraction = 7/15
