= (root 10 + root 5)(root 10 + root 5)/(root 10 - root5)(root 10 + root 5)
We know that (a -b)(a+b) = a^2 - b^2.
= (root 10 + root 5)^2/(root ((10)^2 - (5)^2)
We know that (a+b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab
= (10 root 2 + 15)/5
= 5(2 root 2 + 3)/5
= 2 root 2 + 3. ----------------- (1)
Given b = root 10 - root 5/root 10 + root 5
= (root 10 - root 5)(root 10 - root 5)/(root 10 + root 5)(root 10 - root 5)
= (root 10 - root 5)^2/5
= 15 - 10 root 2/5
= 5(3 - 2 root 2)/5
= 3 - 2 root 2 ------------- (2)
Then root a - root b - 2root a rootb
= root (2 root 2 + 3) - root(3 - 2 root 2) - 2root(2 root 2 + 3)(3 - 2 root 2)
= root 2 + 1 - (root 2 - 1) - 2
= root 2 + 1 - root 2 + 1 - 2
= 2 - 2
