Let l = x and b = y
P = 2(l+b)
P = 40cm
ATQ,
xy + 4 = (x-2) (y+2)
xy + 4 = xy + 2x - 2y - 4
2x = 2y
x = y
∴Length = Breadth
Given P = 40cm
2(x+y) = 40
2(2x) = 40
4x = 40
x = 10
∴ x = y = 10cm
l = 10cm and b = 10cm.
