LHS = ( 2 - √5 )/ ( 2 + 3√5 )

Rationalize the denominator ,

= [(2-√5)( 3√5 -2)]/[(3√5+2)(3√5-2)]

= [6√5 -4 -15 +2√5 )/[(3√5)² - 2² ]

= ( -19 + 8√5 ) /( 45 - 4 )

= ( -19 + 8√5 ) / 41

= ( -19/41) + ( 8/41)√5 ---( 1 )

= b + a√5 -------( 2 )

Compare ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) , we get

b = - 19/41 , a = 8/41
