Solution→
We know that :
→cos (-x) = cosx
→sin(π/2+x ) = cos x because angle (π/2+ x) lies in 2nd quadrant where sin functions positive .
→cos(π/2-x) = sin x because angle (π/2-x ) lies in 1st quadrant where cos functions positive.
→sin(2π +x ) = sin x because angle (2π+X) lies in 1st quadrant where sin functions positive.
Now putting these values in the question.
cosx (cosx) / sinx (sinx)
cos ²x / sin²x
And we know that cos x /sin x = cot x , So ,
cot²x = RHS
hence proved
