Given,

AB is parallel to CD

To find:- the value of x.

Construction:- Draw a line EF such that it is parallel to AB.

Solution:- As, AB is parallel to EF

and, AB is also parallel to CD.

So, AB is parallel to BC is parallel to CD.

Now,

As AB is parallel to EF

SO <1 + <EAB = 180°. {co-interior angles}

<1 + 108°= 180°

<1=180°-108°

<1 = 72°

Now, As CD is parallel to EF

SO <2 + <ECD =180°{ CO-interioe angles}

<2 +112°=180°

<2 =180°-112°

<2 = 68°

Now,. x = <1+<2

x = 72° + 68°

x = 140°
