Plzzzz explain this why its answer is TiO2?

An oxide of titanium contain 60% Ti. What is its emperical formula for this oxide?

a) TiO
b) Ti2O3
c) TiO2 ✔
d) Ti2O6

atomic mass of Titanium = 48g

No of moles of Ti = Relative mass in 100g/atomic mass

                           = 60/48

                          =1.25 moles

No of moles of O= 40/16

                            = 2.5 moles

simplest ratio of carbon = 1.25/1.25 = 1

simplest ratio of oxygen= 2.5/1.25

                      = 1:2

therefore EF = TiO2
