Heya,
HUMAN EAR:-
》The outer ear is called pinna.
》Pinna collects the sound from the surroundings.
》The collected sound passes through the auditory canal.
》At the end of the auditory canal there is a thin membrane called the ear drum (otherwise called as tympanic membrane)
》The eardrum moves inward (compression) and outward (rarefaction). In this way the ear drum vibrates.
》The vibrations are amplified by three bones (hammer, anvil & stirrups) in the middle ear.
》The amplified vibrations reaches the inner ear from the middle ear.
》In the inner ear, the amplified vibrations are turned into electrical signals by cochlea and these signals are sent to the Brain through auditory nerve.
》The Brian interprets them as sound
Hope my answer helps you :)
