which carve in to thin skin
eyelids pinned,
pupils pins.
Re-writes of his story placed into faces
as anthems are spooned into mouths;
open wide.
Sing loud!
Tears roll down the warm cheeks
of people who place hands on hearts
filled with love and with pride.
