Advice:

Try thinking about the structure. Rhymes help but are not neccessary. Poems often have a way of being mysterious. It can be confusing but it shouldn't be so confusing it doesn't make sense.

Such as, A great figure arose with spreading fear

              No one was ready so no one was to veer.

Try playing with words. Like the picture said, it should run into each other.

Think about your word choices carefully. It may seem confusing at first but it'll make sense eventually.

Here's a poem I made for an example.

Lion

Destiny laughing

And all odds passing

Not with superstition

But with ambition

Not believing in number

Not in dynasty

But already on a tower

Roar full of power

Mane like coat

Never to gloat

Nobility like none other

Blood stronger than a tiger

A lion out of a shadow

Into the light
