• The point P Divide the line in 2 : 3
that is AP : PB = 2 : 3
m : n = 2 : 3


• Coordinate of P :-

For x :-
$= \frac{x2m + x1n}{m + n}$


$x = \frac{5 \times 2 + 3 \times 3}{2 + 3}$


$x = \frac{10 + 9}{5}$

$x = \frac{19}{5}$


For y :-

$= \frac{y2m + y1n}{m + n}$

$y= \frac{ - 8 \times 2 + 7 \times 3}{2 + 3}$



$y = \frac{ - 16 + 21}{5}$



$y = \frac{ 5}{5}$


$y = 1$
