Answer:

Area of the field in which the cow can graze

= πr²/4

= π(14)²/4

= 196π/4

= 49π

= 49 ×22/7

= 154 m²

Area of rectangular field

= l × b

= 20 × 15

= 300 m²

Area of the field in which the cow cannot graze

= Area of rectangular field - Area of the field in which the cow can graze

= 300 m² - 154 m²

= 146 m².

Answer:

The cow can graze 38.5 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, length of the plot is 25 m and breath of the plot is 10 m and length of the rope is 7 m.

Here we know, area graze by cow =

 \frac{\pi {r}^{2} }{4}  \\  =  \frac{\pi \times  {7}^{2} }{4}  \\  =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{ {7}^{2} }{4}  \\  =  \frac{11 \times 7}{2}  \\  =  \frac{77}{2}  \\  = 38.5 \:  {m}^{2}

So, required area is 38.5 m²

Know more about rectangle:

The rectangle word comes from the Latin word rectangulus, that is a combination of the words rectus (adjective right, proper) and angulus (angle).

A crossed rectangle is a right-angled (self-intersecting) quadrilateral consisting of two opposite sides of a rectangle with two diagonals[4] (therefore only two sides are parallel). If angles are neither right angles nor all equal, although the opposite angles are equal is called anti parallelogram. Other geometries, such as spherical, elliptic, and hyperbolic, have so-called rectangles with opposite sides of equal length and equal angles that are not right angles.

Rectangles are involved in many tiling problems, such as tiling a plane with rectangles or tiling a rectangle with polygons.
