Answer : Both the statements are false.
Explanation:
a) Displacement can be zero. Displacement is defined as the difference (or shortest path) between the initial point and final point of an object's motion. For example, suppose an object started at A, travelled through B, C and D, and reached back point A, the difference between initial and final point will be 0. There will be no Displacement of the object.
In any case, if the object starts at a point, and returns back to the same point after travelling a distance, the overall Displacement is 0.
b) Displacement is the shortest path or distance covered by an object. As it is shortest , it cant
have a value or magnitude greater than distance.
