points A and B are 70kms apart on a highway . a car start from A and another car starts from B at the same time . if they travel in the same direction they meet in 7 hours but if they travel towards each other they meet in 1 hour . what are their respectives speed .

70 kms / sum of their speed (x) = 1 hour
so , sum of their speed = 70 kms
now , 70 kms/ difference of their speed = 7 hours
so, difference of their speed = 1 0 kms
{let one of their speed be x}
(x+10) + x = 70
2x+10=70
2x = 60
x = 30
So , one of the car's speed is 30kms per hour while other car's speed is 40 kms per hour
so , sum of their speed = 70 kms
