Qualities like patience and sincerity can go a long way in nurturing good relationships. When one is sincere towards someone else, there is a tendency to go out of the way to help the other person. As a result the other person acknowledges the efforts, is grateful, accommodating and willing to help. Overtime the bond becomes stronger. For instance, if your neighbour is not around, but a letter has been left outside her door, your sense of sincerity will make you call her or keep the letter safe and hand it over to her when she returns. In the future, if your mail is lying unattended, chances are that your neighbour will take care of it.

Similarly, having patience reduces the possibility of misunderstandings and arguments. When standing in a queue, it is important to patiently wait for your turn. Trying to jump the queue will only upset others. Others might also be in a hurry. Hence, being patient is a virtue that ensures better relationships with others, be it with classmates, siblings or even parents.

Both sincerity and patience are important qualities that are unfortunately on the decline.
