ya, they are necessary as some of the political parties are the future ruling power. theses help in the development of the nation and its progress. if there will be no political party and in future monarchy may take place that can lead to the severe conditions that were in the times of mughal rulers like Aurangzeb.

1. Every candidates will become Independent if their will be no political parties. So their will be no one to make promise to the people about major policy changes etc.
