Nowadays politics has taken it's ugliest side. And thus it's leading to many challenges which were earlier not recognized or were unseen.

Some of the two are:

1. THE FOUNDATIONAL CHALLENGE -

This challenge is meant for non- democratic countries of the world.

The challenges that they face are -

• Making transition to democracy n then instituting democratic govt.

• Keeping military away from controlling govt.

• Establishing a sovereign n functional state.

2. CHALLENGE OF EXPANSION:

- It involves the application of the basic principles of democratic govt.

- Ensuring greater power to local govt. extension of federal principles to all the units of federation , inclusion of women or minority etc.

- This also means that least decisions should remain outside the arena of democratic control.
