yes, pollination is an important phenomenon in the cycle of a flowering plants because fertilisation occur after pollination. if pollination does not occur then continuation of a particular species of flowering may get stopped or plant get indangered or ultimately get extinct.

Pollination is the transfer of pollen  from a male part of a plant to a female part of a plant, enabling later fertilisation  and the production of seeds, most often by an animal or by wind. hence it helps in continuation of species of flowers thereby influence in lifecycle
