When the distance time graph is a straight line but not parallel to time axis:

If the distance time graph is a straight line such that it starts from the origin and moves away from time axis and distance axis, the body said to be moving with uniform speed.

Since the graph is a straight line; therefore it means that the distance is proportional to time. In other words the body is covering equal distance in equal intervals of time in specified direction and hence is moving with uniform speed.
