Polymers are very long molecules made from lots of carbon atoms, all joined together. The carbons are joined together with single covalent bonds and have hydrogen atoms attached to them.

Each carbon makes 4 bonds in total. The carbon chain will be over 100 carbons long, sometimes thousands long.

Answer:

The carbon-hydrogen bond (C–H bond) is a bond between carbon and hydrogen atoms that can be found in many organic compounds. This bond is a covalent bond meaning that carbon shares its outer valence electrons with up to four hydrogens. This completes both of their outer shells making them stable.
