TO FIND GIVEN,

                               INCREASE PERCENTAGE = 14%

                                NEW SALARY = 66120

                                let's the original salary be x

Now,

            New salary = original salary + Increase in salary

            66120 = x + Increase in salary

            66120 - x = Increase in salary

     Increase in salary = 66120 - x

Now,

          Percentage Increase = \frac{Increase in salary}{original salary}×100

                                         14= \frac{66120-X}{X}×100

                                        14x = (66120 - x)×100

                                         \frac{14x}{100} = 66120 - x

                                         \frac{14x}{100}+ x = 66120

                                         x(\frac{14}{100} +1) = 66120

                                         \frac{114}{100} x = 66120

                                        114x = 6612000

                                          x = \frac{6612000}{114}

                                          x = 58000

                       ∴ original salary is Rs. 58000
