2. Portia loved Bassiano and feared the outcome of choosing the wrong casket. She prays deep inside for Bassiano to pick the correct casket as he was very important to her.

3. At the end of the speech, Portia gives Bassiano a ring which was a symbol of there unity.

4. Gratiano says Bassanio to join him on the trip. He resists saying that Gratiano is too loud, but Gratioano says he will be sober and Bassanio agrees to go with him.

5 The relationship between Antonio and Bassiano was nice and they cared for each other. On receiving his letter, Bassanio got upset on knowing that Antonio had lost everything and he was suffering. He wanted to meet him before he died.
