Answer:

Average speed is given by

(total distance/ total time).

So the total distance travelled is to be calculated from the graph

total distance= 5+5+10+10 metres.

= 30 metres.

( Trick: for distance calculation in a position time graph add the different parts of the curve sequentially)

Total time = 8 secs.

Therefore average speed= 30/8

= 3.75 m/sec.
