total distance = 40+20 =60m

displacement =40-20 =20m

average speed = 60/6 =10m/s

average velocity = 20/6 = 3.33 m/s

Answer:

1) 120 metres

total distance = distance above X axis+distance below X axis

Above X axis 40 *2 =80 m

below" 20*2= 40m

(distance is +ve)

2) 0 metres

Shortest path b/w Origin and Finish point

Origin =0

Finish=0

Displacement = 0

3)Average speed = Total distance/total time

=120/6

=20m/s

4) Average velocity=

displacement /time

= 0m/s

Hope u understand!!:)

diyagoyal891gmailcom: bro average velocity will b 0 coz it's formula is displacement/time and displacement is 0
