potassium carbonate cannot be made by solvay's process using potassium chloride in place of sodium chloride. Why​

● Why can't potassium carbonate be prepared by solvay process ?

- The solvay process is used for industrial preparation of sodium carbonate (soda ash).

- In this process brine (sodium chloride) is converted into soda ash (sodium carbonate) which being insoluble precipitates out.

- If potassium chloride is used instead, potassium bicarbonate thus formed being highly soluble in water doesn't precipitate.

- Therefore, potassium carbonate is not prepared by solvay process.
