ΔRMS and parallelogram PQRS are on the same base SR and petween the same parallels PQ and SR

∴area ΔRMS=1/2 of area of parallelogram PQRS

Similarily,

ΔPLS and parallelogram PQRS  are on the same base PS and between the same parallels QR and PS

∴area ΔPLS=1/2 of area of parallelogram PQRS-----------2

From equation 1 and 2,

we see that in both the equations right hand side equation is equal

∴area ΔRMS=area ΔPLS

Hence Proved
